Every year, after spending three months in Antarctica feeding, humpback whales come to Brazil to reproduce in the warm and calm waters of the coast of Bahia. A year later they return to the place of the "honeymoon" to give birth. Ballet of sea giants… The show is considered unforgettable: animals that can reach 16m in length and weigh 40 tonnes do their best in acrobatics and jumps out of the water, showing their fins and tail. In addition to the gigantic ballet, which can count on the presence of more than 10 whales at once, the Humpback Whales are famous for singing, considered one of the most developed vocalization systems in the animal world. Usually sung by an adult male with the function of attracting females and / or keeping other males away, its complexity can be compared to that of classical music.
